Austin's Got A New Bag is a KAB education camapign to promote the use of reusbale shopping bags and disposable bag recycling
We’re asking every Austinite to REDUCE or ELIMINATE your use of disposable bags. Start using a REUSABLE bag when shopping at all retailers and if you use paper or plastic bags REUSE and RECYCLE them.

The shoreline cleanup on June 28th is a chance for hundreds of volunteers to come together and help to clean up Lake Travis' parks and shorelines.

In September the underwater cleanup brings together over 600 registered divers who drop down into the lake to clean up the part the rest of us can't reach. Last year, 2007, over 3 tons of trash was collected!
